In 2009, British Director James Marsh, won the Oscar for his documentary movie “Man On Wire”. The movie brings up the incredible story of Phillipe Petit who in August 1974 walked on a wire between the two twin towers in NYC. 45 minutes, 8 crossings between the tallest towers in the world those days. The movie is full of incredible images and interviews and in the end, Phillipe Petit delivers a message that was a background and an inspiration for Francesca and Reid’s photographs:

“…You have to refuse to take yourself to rules, refuse your own success, refuse to repeat yourself…”

Elisa & Danny’s Wedding

Grace Ormonde’s book signing tour arrived in Miami on May 4th and was held at the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental. It was a stunning event gathering top professionals from the wedding industry in South Florida, amazing food, phenomenal table tops decor by 4 of the top designers on the planet, stunning cakes that were made by Mandarin Oriental Miami Executive pastry chef, Frederic Monet. The cakes, also photographed by Sharon Eliasi Photography, will be featured in the next Spring/Summer 2011 of Wedding Style Magazine. Two table tops that were photographed by Sharon Eliasi Photography were just published in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Wedding Style Magazine!! Here are more images of the 2 tables.

The evening was brilliantly coordinated by Victoria Chase from The Mandarin Oriental Miami. Linen, Chairs and fab interior design, Pablo Oliveira- Nuage Designs. Cinematography – Ray Roman Films, check out his sharp video from the evening!

Summer time!!

Yoli & Andre’s Wedding

This time let’s begin from the end. This image below was captured after the last guest left the Biltmore Hotel and just before I gave Yoli & Andre the much needed rest from their beautiful celebration. I arrived at the Biltmore prior to shooting time and as always, searched for new locations for their portraits, during my location tour I saw this balcony and was dreaming about creating this night shot not even knowing that this is in fact the balcony of the room they stayed during the wedding weekend. That was a very exciting beginning of a beautiful wedding.

Becky & Seth The Wedding

It was something Becky said when we went out to take their portraits, that set the beginning of understanding that dream, a little game of visualizing your wedding outside of your parents home where you have spent so many years of your life… So I believe it was this special location and the beautiful song that Becky’s sister sang and played during the ceremony and so many other details that turned this wedding to such an emotional journey. I can honestly share that it was one of those rare moments when I was so happy I had such a big camera to cover my face when my tears began to slide down during their ceremony.

Becky and Seth’s enormous effort to make this dream a reality became possible with the help of so many friends that I very much appreciate and love working with:

Alex & Michael/ Engagement Party

Alex Adler & Michael Toccin’s engagement party was a unique celebration of great style and taste. A clear long tent was placed at the corner of the beautiful Toccin’s family garden. The most impressive decor was made by Jose Graterol who brought the sky and the earth together leaving us with a spiritual message while he brilliantly used a huge mirror as a table surface and a background to his creations. The entire event was perfectly planned and orchestrated by no other than Victoria Chase.
