Happy New Decade!

2009 is closing in just few hours.  With it,  the first decade of the new millennium will say goodbye.  I do remember myself saying “what a great year it was”…

But a decade? Have you ever thought where were you 10 years ago?

10 years ago I was still a student. Only 9 years ago I met the beautiful woman that 2.5 years later became my wife.  9 years ago I still had hair on my head   7 years ago I graduated my studies (BFA) and started looking for a gallery to exhibit my work. 6.5 years ago I exhibited my first solo exhibition followed by too many group exhibitions to remember…

5 years ago Netta, our first angel was born.  Life in every mean, is not the same as it was before his birth.  Fatherhood is not something one can grasp just from reading about it…. 6 moths ago our little princess, Avigail, was born and 1+1 is no longer 2 since that moment.

8 years ago I photographed my 1st wedding.  8 years later I am about to photograph my 250th wedding.  I remember each and every one of them.

All these and much more have happened in the last decade.  A decade full of emotions. Full of happiness. Full of excitement and many achievements. Blessed with surprises…  It was all about growing, giving, receiving and Love.

So what would I wish myself for the new decade to come? I wish myself the same joy when hearing Netta say “Dad”, a small word that keeps reminding me what is the meaning of life. I wish myself the pride of seeing Avigail doing her very first steps.  The peacefulness in waking up every morning with the  woman I so much love.  The chance to tell my parents everyday how much I love them and appreciate their place in my heart.  And the honor of photographing a bride and a groom celebrating their love and commitment with their very best friends and their closest family.

And I wish you all the very best of everything you wish to yourselves.
