A former Israeli army officer, I traveled extensively in South America after my army service. My love of photography was born amid its spectacular scenery and vivid people. After returning to Israel, I spent four years at Jerusalem’s Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, graduating magna cum laude. Studying photography in a pre-digital era laid the foundations for all that followed, forging in me an appreciation for materials and processes that modern technology can enhance, not replace. I carry those two photographic eras with me today in all that I do.
In the next few years I taught photography, its practice and theory & worked as a wedding and corporate photographer.
In 2009, I moved to Florida with my family where I established myself as a leading wedding photographer. My work has been published in magazines including Wedding Style Magazine, Modern Luxury Magazine, Brides FL, Wedding Illustrated, The Knot Florida, Carats & Cake, and Social Affairs.
While in the States, I became fascinated by book-making. After a course at the Center for Book Art in New York, I continued my studies, traveling to North Carolina and Massachusetts to learn one-to-one with some of the world’s leading book-makers: Monique Lallier, Don Etherington, and Daniel Kelm. I returned with my family to Israel in 2013.
Today, I continue to photograph weddings, corporate and family events; teach; and of course, make books.
